Hey, I’m Karly! I’m a thirty-something currently living in a small Wisconsin town with my husband, Ryan, and our fur-child, Finley.

I started this blog back in 2014 under the original name Miss in the Midwest. Throughout those beginning years, I primarily focused on sharing beauty and makeup-related content with the occasional sad attempt to be a fashion blogger. Seriously, my early posts/”fashion sense” are kind of hilarious.

Fast-forward to 2018, and here we are with the re-branded What Karly Said! Inspired by my mom and older sister, I wish that I had a dime for every time I heard that phrase throughout the course of my life so far. I’d be crazy rich! Those three words embody me and my personality to a T – I’m always saying something about everything and anything! And, that’s exactly what this space is all about. For us to talk, connect and form a community through shared passions.

Hmm, what else should you know about me? I’m a die-hard fan of The Beatles; Full House is probably my favorite TV show of all time, and Singin’ In the Rain is my main movie; I’d move to London in a heartbeat (even though I’ve never been there); and I could live off boxed Kraft Mac & Cheese for the rest of my life. I think that highlights the important stuff. 😉

From the bottom of my heart, thank YOU for stopping by to check out my little corner of the Web. I hope that you’ll continue to check back and follow along with my everyday life!

  • To my #foreverweddingdate: thanks for always standing by my side, letting me dress you up once in a while, and posing for pictures outside my childhood home like it’s high school graduation day. I love you so much. 😂❤️ #marriedlife #fridayfeels
  • It has been 84 years since it stopped raining in Wisconsin, so it seemed necessary to document the occasion. 💁🏼‍♀️ #thursdayvibes #loveloft

@Disneyland is full of hidden scenes and little details. This area in particular, right around the corner from Fantasyland, was my favorite of them all! Maybe because we were there early before the crowds came pouring in, or maybe I was taking a moment to be nostalgic ... either way this was the first time in a few months that I felt happy and 100% myself. Perhaps that’s the magic of Disney that Walt always talked about. #adultsatdisney #disneyland
