The Happy List – 9 Things

the happy list 9 things

Welcome to another edition of my very own happy list! A random, non-cohesive compilation of everything that has been bringing a smile to my face.

1. Mini Getaway

After a year and a half at home, WE FINALLY TRAVELED SOMEWHERE. Granted, not far and still in the same state, but it felt like a vacation! Northern Wisconsin (aka “up north”) welcomed us with warm temperatures, abundant sunshine and perfect lake conditions. It was exactly what we needed! Finn even enjoyed his time on the boat and learning to swim and jump off the pier. The pictures I have of him in his doggy life vest are my new favorites!

2. Go Team USA!

I live for the Olympics and am so happy they’re on right now!

3. New Door Hardware

Who knew new doorknobs could be so exciting?! 😉 I’m thrilled we’re finally switching out our very traditional, very old door hardware for something more modern.

4. Sob Rock

I’ve barely listened to anything else since last Friday. John Mayer outdid himself with this record.

5. $8 Target Linen Tank Top

I want one of these in every single color. The lightweight material is perfect for the hot weather we’ve been experiencing, and I’m a fan of the flattering neckline.

6. Free Assembly Retro Patch Pocket Shorts

I can’t get over the fact that these shorts are from Wal-Mart. The quality is SO good – reminds me of something from Madewell. The style instantly elevates any simple tee/outfit. Definitely size up one from your normal size. I went with a 6, and they fit great!

7. Kirkland Flavored Sparkling Water

I told you this was a super random list, ha! But seriously, I can’t get enough of this water. Since I rarely drink pop but sometimes crave the carbonation, this is the perfect compromise. I hope more flavor options are available in the future, but for now I’m hooked.

8. Back to a Favorite Hobby

I’m finally crocheting again! I love the feeling of still accomplishing something while sitting on the couch at night. Plus, it forces me to put my phone away and be present.

9. JVN Beauty YouTube Channel

My love for Jonathan Van Ness runs deep, so I knew I’d instantly fall in love with their new YouTube channel. There aren’t many videos yet, but the blowout tutorial is gold. My hair has never looked better after an at-home blow dry!

Alright, it’s finally your turn! What’s on your happy list right now? Share with me in the comments!

Crocheting has been on my mind too! What are you making? I’ve been enjoying Under the Southern Sky by Kristy Woodson Harvey and 28 Summers by Elin H., fantastic read! Always look forward to your posts too!

I typically work on scarves during the summertime so I don’t get too warm – plus, they’re quick and easy! Both those books sound great!
