I feel like the fall season is my time to shine in the style department. Not because I find myself overly fashionable, but rather because fall clothes are what I feel most confident in. Jeans, sweaters, jackets, boots – I love it all!
Even though I’m still home a majority of the time right now, dressing for cooler temperatures has given me something to look forward to. And, with Wisconsin temperatures already well into the 50s and 60s, it seems like I’ll be able to start wearing my favorite pieces sooner than later.
Fall style mood
As with any season, I gravitate toward classic, neutral pieces. However, for fall I prefer a moodier color palette. Blacks and browns and burgundy are what I love the most and find look best on me overall. Plus, different pieces in these colors easily can be mixed and matched, and all go well with black pants and dark wash skinny jeans.
We’ve had so much rain as of late that I finally added a pair of Chelsea rain boots to my wardrobe. They’re great! I’d also like to purchase a trench coat both for the timeless style and function to help keep me dry on rainy days.
I think a plaid blazer would go with so many different outfits.
Hair accessories are how I try to punch up any outfit. Have you seen the trailer for Rebecca? Lily James in all those fabulous berets is a total mood that I want to copy stat. Headbands are my go-to these days because they keep my hair off my face and can provide a fun print or texture to an otherwise simple outfit.
