3 Things I’m Loving in Self-Isolation

Good morning! Aside from our world being turned upside down, I hope that April is off to a good start for you and that you’re healthy and safe. We’re all in this together, so let’s get it done! You know what they say – April showers bring may Flowers … and hopefully the end of quarantine. 😉 We can do this!

In an effort to stay normal around here, I still want to share my usual monthly favorites. So, I settled on 3 things I’m loving in self-isolation since that’s the theme of life right now. Genius, I know. The focus is on a few self-care beauty items, so hopefully you can #treatyoself after reading this post. Let’s get to it!

3 Things I’m Loving in Self-Isolation

+ L’Oreal 8 Second Wonder Water. I’ve noticed a lot of breakage around my hairline recently – I’m blaming stress – so I’m indulging my hair in deep conditioners and treatments. I’m not sure this product is doing much, but I enjoy it nonetheless! My hair feels silky smooth after I wash it out – I don’t even have to use a conditioner. I’ve noticed less fallout and frizz and more shine when I blowout. Pretty great results for an $8 product! Only cons are it’s not cruelty-free, and a bottle doesn’t last long (about a month depending on how often you use it and how much product you need for your hair type). I did finally cave and ordered Olaplex No. 3, so I’m excited to start trying that out instead.

+ Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask. I’ve had a sample size of this product lying around forever, so I thought why not try it now? So glad I did! My skin doesn’t typically agree with masks, but this one is very gentle while still being effective. My skin feels so smooth after I wash it off! I do experience a few minor breakouts a day or two after I use this, but I know it’s just my skin purging out the crap. Everything clears up quickly! I use this once a week and plan to buy the full size.

+ Pixi DetoxifEYE Facial Treatment. Wow, people weren’t kidding – these eye patches actually WORK. My under eye area feels so smooth and hydrated and looks bright and firm (in a good way) after these work their magic. These will be a staple in my skin care routine for the foreseeable future!

One additional item worth mentioning! I’m a huge fan of Taylor – seriously, if you don’t follow her on Instagram you’re missing out on some laughs – and her shop. She has some of the most comfortable t-shirts and sweatshirts out there! I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of her latest sweatshirt launch, which not only benefits her as a small-business owner, but she’s also setting aside $5 from every sale to send to people in-need right now. How incredible is that?! A purchase to feel good about all-around.

How are you practicing self-care in self-isolation? Any products that you’re loving?

Catch up on past monthly loves!

You know I am all over the mask train! It’s helped me so much and I am determined to have the best skin possible through this! I haven’t checked out Tula’s mask. I was disappointed by a few of their products but it does sound good!
