Good morning, hello and welcome to August! This post was h-a-r-d to write. Not because I don’t have any recent loves, but because we’ve been so ridiculously busy (with mostly fun stuff!) that I’ve barely taken two spare minutes to think about what I’m into lately. Luckily – for me and you! – I pulled it together and came up with 6 things I loved in July. Let’s jump into it!
Home
+ Cuisinart Toaster Oven. You know that you’re an adult when … 😉 But, seriously – I LOVE our new toaster oven. Not kidding when I say I’ve used our real oven only a handful of times since we bought this. It’s great for reheating leftovers, making veggies and cooking frozen foods (think chicken nuggets, tater tots, etc.). I imagine I might even use it to make a small batch of cookies in the near future!
+ Threshold Halsted Wicker Patio Set. I briefly mentioned our backyard makeover in my last coffee chat, and it continues to be a work in progress! We found this small patio set on clearance and knew we couldn’t pass it up. It’s the perfect size for just Ryan and I (Finn also manages to squeeze himself into the chair with me), and oh so comfy! Better yet we can add to the set with other pieces in the future.
Style
+ Kona Sol Scoop Back One Piece Swimsuit. Isn’t the color combination of this suit so pretty and slightly unexpected? I wasn’t sure about it on the hanger, but it is SO flattering on. I imagine it would suit a lot of different body types. The straps are adjustable, there is padding in the bust area, and there’s high/full coverage in the back. Basically the most perfect one-piece suit ever to be created.
+ Universal Thread Maritza Multi Strap Toe Slide Sandals. Hands-down my favorite casual sandals. They’re comfortable for a basic flip flop, and the style goes with a variety of outfits. I have them in both white and black, and they’re pretty much all I wear these days.
What we watched
+ Stranger Things season 3. We thought this season overall was way, way, way better than season two – minus some of the gross/graphic stuff that really creeped me out. Beyond that, the overall vibe was nostalgic and super fun. I also want Nancy’s entire wardrobe.
+ Queer Eye season 4. It has previously been established how much I love this show and the Fab 5, so I won’t ramble. But, if you haven’t gotten to the new season yet you need to ASAP. I feel like Jonathan and Antoni really shine, and there’s some really incredible people in each episode. Get your tissues ready!
What I’m looking forward to in August: A quick trip to Chicago to see my brother and knock off John Mayer from my concert bucket list; my hair appointment – thinking Lily James’ bob might be my inspiration!; and soaking up the last month of summer!
What were your favorites from last month?

I love these posts! Stranger Things was soooo good this season. I was a bit shocked on some of the more graphic things, but all in all, I think they did a fantastic job! Such a great show!

I totally agree with you! Hope you’re having a good start to the month, friend. xx
I just ordered a Kona Sol bathing suit from Target and it should be arriving this week. I am hoping that it works. If you have ANY free time while you are here for that concert I would love to meet up! 🙂 Have a great day girlie!
Hopefully your bathing suit works out! The quality seems great from that brand. I’m literally driving in/out just for the concert next week, but hopefully one of these days I’ll have more time. 🙂
Stranger Things was great and I loved the wardrobe too! Eleven’s was my fave actually lol And a John Mayer concert sounds awesome- I used to have the biggest crush on him when I was a teenager. Plus his voice is dreamy.
Lol, I agree! The shopping scene with Eleven and Max was my absolute favorite. Can’t wait for John Mayer, agree with you there too!
Ohh so fun… have fun in Chicago. One of my favorite cities. I love it there!
Happy August!

Thank you! I grew up there, so it’s always nice to go back and visit. 🙂
I haven’t started stranger things yet but it’s on my list! John Mayer will be fun, I haven’t seen him live since high school! xo, Biana BlovedBoston
He’s definitely a bucket list item for me, so I’m excited for next week. Stranger Things is good!
July is usually a good month because of my birthday, haha! Got some ear pods that I’m looking forward to using. Your backyard is looking great!
I’m jealous of your Air Pods, what a nice gift!
I love that swimsuit…and now I want a toaster oven!
Gma Bette’s mozzarella bread for all, lol!
