4 Things I Loved in January

Last month felt like the longest year ever. And, based on what I’ve seen from others on social a lot of you agree! I was thrilled to say sayonara and welcome February with open arms. I turn 30 at the end of the month, and while I have some mixed feelings on that subject it’s also an exciting time and we have some fun things planned. But first, let’s still give last month the respect it deserves and have a quick rundown of the 4 things I loved in January.

4 Things I Loved in January

P.S. this photo was 100% not staged. Finn must be attached to me and a camera hog at all times. I love him for it. heart tee | jeans

Beauty & Hair

Eye shadow palettes are the #1 thing I need to quit adding to my beauty arsenal, but I blame Lindsey Regan Thorne for all her trust-worthy product recommendations. The Too Faced Natural Eyes Neutral Palette is gorgeous for an everyday, subtle smokey eye. This is one of the few palettes that I own that has shadows with true neutral-to-cool undertones; most of my others veer on the warmer side, so this has been a good shift in my routine.

Curling my shorter hair has been a constant struggle, but the Kristin Ess 1″ Beach Wave Iron has been a total game-changer. My hair doesn’t snag in the clamp, and the curls don’t fall out a half hour later. Plus, it looks pretty on my bathroom counter! I’m thinking of also getting the 1.25″ barrel.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Kacey Musgraves, but her Golden Hour album is NEXT LEVEL. Yeah, I’m a little late to the game. Literally have had this one on repeat for weeks. Velvet Elvis is my new jam.

Our streaming-to-watch list is out of control these days, but The Bodyguard on Netflix took the cake last month. It was at the top of my list after I saw Richard Madden on Ellen because hello, Richard Madden. Besides his obvious gorgeous-self, the show is a roller coaster of intrigue and deception. We were on our toes the entire time and had several moments of open-mouth gaping at the screen. The end is a touch too tidy, but I have my fingers crossed for a second season.

eye palettes are so tempting and that one is soooo pretty. i really don’t need another, but…. pretty.
you had me at richard madden. i’m trying to convince KC to watch it with me, we rarely watch shows together but i think there’s enough for both of us in that one lol

Lol I feel the exact same. In my defense, I had Christmas gift cards/store credit, so I didn’t really pay for the palette out of pocket. So, that was my justification. 😉

I definitely think there’s enough in The Bodyguard for both of you – Ryan really enjoyed it if that helps!
