My New Fall Makeup Go-To’s

Anyone else ever feel like they need a vacation just to recover from vacation? That’s how I felt all last week after our Florida anniversary getaway! It didn’t help that I scheduled the dentist and eye doctor for right when we get back, but ya know … #life. ANYWAY. Getting to the point of today’s post – beauty! I have some new fall makeup go-to’s that have taken my life by storm, so obviously I need to share them with you. Here we go!

New Fall Makeup Go-To's
Maybelline Master Blur Stick Pore Minimizing Tinted Primer | Thanks to Emily, this little hidden gem is the ultimate new addition to my makeup collection and routine. I’m a fan that it’s tinted – I have shade Light/Medium – so it actually provides some extra, light coverage before foundation. I primarily use this in my t-zone, and there’s been a huge difference in the application and wear of my foundation. No separating or wear-off during the day. And, it hasn’t broken me out!

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder | It has been YEARS since I’ve strayed from my holy grail MAC pressed powder, but this stuff is the real deal. I think technically it’s a powder foundation, but I just use a big fluffy brush so it’s more of a setting powder. This is the ultimate partner-in-crime to the CC cream! I find that it amps up the coverage a bit, and my skin stays matte all day long. It was put to the ultimate test in 90-degree, high-humidity Florida temps a couple weeks ago, so trust me when I say that it lasts! Also photographs beautifully despite the SPF 50.

CoverGirl Lash Blast Amplify Primer | I was thrilled to see CG finally release a lash primer. Not that I have anything against the L’Oreal one – I love it and have used it religiously for a few years. But, all my go-to mascaras are from CoverGirl, so it just makes sense to switch. There’s not a huge difference, although I find this formula a tiny bit drier which I prefer.

MAC Matte Lipstick in Velvet Teddy | This was part of a mini’s set that I purchased during this year’s Nordstrom Sale. Well, I’ll definitely be buying a full-size when this one runs out! What is it about this shade?! It’s kind of peachy but kind of brown, but also kind of mauve-y. Good description, huh? Goes with anything and everything. It totally makes sense now why this is a classic and very popular. I pair it with NYX lip liner pencil in Natural.

Essie Nail Polish in Angora Cardi | Rediscovered this one when I was deciding what color to have on my nails for vacation. It’s a great dark, dusty mauve with a slight brown undertone. Perfect if you want dark nails but not so dark that you can’t tell if it’s any color but black. I always use this gel top coat and rarely have chips until I’m a week or so in.

I’m also thinking about switching up my skincare a little bit for the colder months. Have any of you tried Tula? Their cleanser and new acne clearing gel have me interested. Let me know your thoughts and experiences!

What are some of your favorite fall beauty finds?

I’m still using most of the products from this post, too!

That nail color is so pretty and I’ll have to give that tinted primer a try! I’ve been loving all the fall lip colors that are out right now.

Love fall lips! I’ve been all about the berry colors. That primer is such a game-changer, I’m surprised more people haven’t talked about it.
