Coffee Chat No. 15 | 10 Favorites From This Week

There’s so many links and things that I just love for this week’s coffee chat.

Coffee Chat No. 9

First things first – another royal baby is on the way! I know I wasn’t the only one, but I totally called that after Princess Eugenie’s wedding last week. Also speaking of which, anyone else obsessed with the color of Kate Middleton’s wedding guest attire getup? The velvet burgundy pumps were the perfect finishing touch … okay, today’s edition of royal watch is now over.

I wish I would’ve been genius enough to save all my old VHS tape cases and turn it into this fun, nostalgic collection. Might have to snag one of those key chains because why not?

One of the easiest, most delicious salmon recipes I’ve ever made.

Anyone ever tried a root cover-up powder? Ordered this one based on an Allure recommendation. If it works, great, if not – at least it’s just powder and easily can be washed out.

A cute crochet blanket pattern I plan to tackle this winter.

THIS. ARTICLE. I talk with Ryan about this all the damn time, so it is reassuring to know that I’m not alone in this situation.

On the same subject, Lauren wrote a great post about being mindful of the fact that most of us don’t really know what’s going on with others.

Sign me up for this cute cookware!

One of the many benefits of Ryan working where he does, I was able to snag this popular serum before it (presumably) sells out. Here’s to hoping that it’s supposed miracle properties work on my dreaded squinting crease.

We’re unexpectedly having some fall photos taken next week (with our very favorite Alex Good!), so I’m referencing this helpful post to help decide our outfits/color scheme.

Any plans for the rest of the week? Ryan is home this weekend, so we’re hoping to do a few fall-like date things! Corn maze, apple orchard … you know, the stuff basic Midwest fall dreams are made of. 😉 Hope you have a good one wherever you are!

Don’t forget to check out more coffee chats!

  1. I’m interested to hear if the root cover-up powder works. I’ve always been curious too! Hope you all had a great weekend enjoying all the fall fun!

    • Unfortunately, I got sick so I never made it far past the couch! The root powder didn’t work for me – I think maybe it would work better for brunettes.

So excited another royal baby on the way, always nice to hear happy news these days! Love the cookware, so cute and so You! Let us know if the serum is worth seeking out, I’ve never tried any of the No. 7 products. The articles you linked us to were both excellent and very true, interesting that in a world of constant social media we are feeling more isolated and lonely as ever.

    • I think you would like some of the No. 7 products – the few serums I’ve been using have made a big difference in my skin!

I’m a very very beginner crocheter, that pattern looks like a foreign language! It’s a tough hobby- you need to learn the stitches and learn to “read”, but it’s been so much fun so far! Hopefully one day I’ll be able to make this!
