6 Things I Loved in September

Happy October – fall is officially here! Temperatures finally dropped in our small Wisconsin town, so I’m ready to embrace everything this beautiful season has to offer. Give me all the cider, chunky sweaters, boots and corn mazes! πŸ™‚ But, before we get to that let’s look back on 6 things I loved in September.

6 Things I Loved in September

Style & Beauty

Best dress purchase I’ve made in a long while. And, it’s from Target! (#notshocking) I already know I’ll wear the shit out of this dress – now with a denim jacket, later with tights, booties and a cardigan. The options seem endless. Plus, POCKETS.

These hair jaw clips rival the more expensive Wet Brush brand ones my hairdresser uses. I’ve since thrown out every single other hair clip in the house because these are that good! Practically a miracle for a lot of fine hair like mine.

Entertainment

YouTube series | I’m a little late to the game with Vogue’s 73 Questions videos, but oh gosh I’m obsessed.Β These are super fun to watch/listen to while doing your makeup and getting dressed for the day! I went on a binge a couple weeks ago and watched almost every single one. My favorites? Lady Gaga (duh), Victoria Beckham, Reese Witherspoon and Chrissy Teigen.

Music | Amazon Prime Music is almost always on during the day around here. It’s also my favorite way to listen to music at the gym – the curated playlists make it so easy! Recently, I discovered the All 2010s Station and it’s killer. Highly recommend if you’re into all the hits from the current decade.

Netflix | I think this is the second or third month in a row that I’m including a Netflix original movie in my favorites. They are seriously on top of their game right now! Sierra Burgess Is a Loser won my heart over with the soundtrack and sweet, relatable story. Plus, how can you go wrong with Barb from Stranger Things plus Peter Kravinsky from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before?! It’s a match made in teenage rom-com heaven. Sunflower has been on repeat ever since.

Blogger Spotlight

Like Alissa, I want to be better about highlighting some of my favorite bloggers and/or reads each month. I’ve been following along with Brittany at Pointed North for quite some time now – cheers to my fellow Midwest gal! – and she really inspires me. Her style is so cool, and she comes off as honest, transparent and relatable in all of her posts. That’s hard to do nowadays with how this social landscape is constantly changing. She also makes me ridiculously nostalgic for the six years that we lived in Des Moines, Iowa. This fall-inspired post is my recent favorite.
