6 Things I Loved in July

Hey, hey! It’s good to be back. I came down with a nasty stomach bug early last week that put me out of commission for a few days. Certainly wasn’t a pleasant experience, but I kind of needed a break from it all so at least I was forced to relax. You know how it is! Anyway, last month was a whirlwind between Ryan’s 11-day vacation and a couple weekends of travel so I only have 6 things I loved in July to share with you today!

6 Things I Loved in July

Beauty & Style

First mentioned here, I continued to use the Revlon One-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer throughout the month and it’s great! It basically combines the love I have for this hot brush with a built-in blow dryer, so the extra styling step is eliminated. The brush bristles are great on this, too – I’ve had zero issues with snagging/tangling. If you have a lot of hair, wait until it’s about 80% air-dried before you go in with this brush. It will take FOREVER if your hair is too wet. And, make sure to only use the low setting – the high heat will burn you.

The Mario Badescu Facial Spray is heavenly. I’ve been using the rosewater one as a finishing touch to my makeup. It smells divine, hydrates my face, and helps to set everything in place. Definitely try one of these out if you haven’t yet!

I adore the print on this knit swing dress from Loft. This is what I wore to a baby shower a few weeks ago, and I look forward to pairing it with a green military jacket for fall.

My Favorite Hobby Website

Have I mentioned here that I crochet? Well, if not now you know! I taught myself over the winter, and it has been a go-to hobby for me ever since. Pretty much everything I make gets donated, so it’s a double-win in that sense. I also recently made my friend a baby blanket as part of her baby shower gift, and that was my greatest crochet achievement to date! If you also like to crochet (or want to learn!), my go-to site for stitches is Daisy Farm Crafts. Her instructions are so easy to follow, and the patterns have that pretty vintage-vibe. Go check her out!

The new season of Married At First Sight started, and we’re all here for it. Yes, WE as in Ryan and I watch this one together. We actually have some pretty insightful conversations after every episode! I’m really digging the couples for this go-around and have high hopes.

This was another winner with James Corden and Tom Cruise. They always do the best things together!
