8 Things I Loved in June

A new month is here, so you know the drill! Let’s jump into the 8 things I loved in June.

All of my current makeup favorites are discussed in my recent summertime beauty post.

The Kristin Ess Thickening Spray has become a new staple in my hair product arsenal. It does a great job of pumping up my fine strands without weighing anything down. I don’t use this everyday, only on days when I know that I’m going to heat style my hair after blow drying. It gives great hold, even on second-day hair!

Never thought the day would come when I’d be so into jumpsuits and rompers. Well, that day has arrived! This striped number (now on clearance!) from the Universal Thread line at Target is perfect.

I rediscovered Poshmark. It’s so rewarding to list/negotiate/sell items in my closet at a price that I’m happy with (opposed to going to a consignment shop). Takes a bit of work, but the end result is usually worth it.

These FitBit Alta replacement bands from Amazon are insanely good. I cannot believe the quality for the price! There’s a ton of color options available – I bought the rose gold/silver/pink pack, and they’re true-to-color with what you see on the screen.

A bit entertainment heavy this time around, but what can I say? Your girl digs herself some T.V. time.

The Staircase (Netflix). Maybe not the most riveting true crime docu-series that we’ve watched, but it held our attention nonetheless. If you’ve watched it, do you think Mike Petersen is innocent? We do. Based on evidence alone and how it was handled/tested, I have a lot of doubts that he did it. That said, I wish we could get a more definitive answer as to how Kathleen ended up in such a gruesome state after falling down the stairs. The owl theory is kind of mind-blowing.

Set It Up (Netflix). OH MY GOSH YOU’RE MISSING OUT ON LIFE RIGHT NOW IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED THIS YET. Okay, kidding, but seriously. Netflix killed it with this hilarious rom-com. There’s plenty of humor in it that will appeal to both women and men. I watched it on my own the first time, and then I made Ryan watch it with me – he was cracking up the entire time! Rumor has it there’s already a story line developed for a sequel.

James Corden and Paul McCartney. This is everything television should be and more. I laughed/cried/freaked out for the people sitting in that pub. It’s 23 minutes of pure happiness whether you’re a Beatles fan or not.

There’s the 8 things I loved in June! Did we enjoy any of the same things?

I’m checked out for the rest of the week! Ryan is on vacation, so we’re going to take advantage of the extended time together to get shit done and have some summer fun. I’ll see ya back here next week with a new reading roundup! šŸ™‚ Have a fun, safe 4th of July holiday – hug those doggies tight during fireworks!

If you’re looking for more to read around here this week, check out some of our hopeful summer plans, what’s in my summer makeup bag and five of my worst habits. Past monthly loves are here.

I just bought the thickening foam you recommended last time, and I am excited to try it. Might need to check this one out too. Give me all the thickening products. Ha! Such a cute pic of you.
