Wedding Guest Dress Favorites for Spring

I’m standing up in a wedding this coming Saturday, so I’ve been on the hunt to find a new dress to wear to the rehearsal. Because attending weddings is good for at least having an excuse to buy a new dress, right? 😉 Well, this has resulted in me trying on A LOT of dresses. It’s kind of embarrassing how many I’ve ordered and returned … so, I figure I might as well write a blog post to round ’em all up! Here’s my wedding guest dress favorites for spring.

Let’s start with what I already had in my closet and more than likely am wearing again for the rehearsal. This little midi number from Target can’t be beat in price and comfort. It comes in two prints – I have the floral version – and it has pockets. Need I say more? It’s one of the most flattering dresses that I’ve ever worn and think it will work for any body type.

I was happy to see that Nordstrom again released this dress, but in a couple new prints. I love how flowy and light the material is on this dress, and it’s really easy to dress up/down. My print is no longer available, but I’ve worn this dress both dressed up to a wedding and with a jean jacket and sandals out to dinner. It’s a good, versatile option!

Ann Taylor’s dress section just came to my attention – seriously, was I living under a rock? – and now I find myself perusing daily for new arrivals. This blue wrap dress was my second choice for a rehearsal dress (I got it half off during a sale). The silhouette was ridiculously flattering as are most wrap dresses, and the shade of blue reminded me of something Kate Middleton would wear. The flutter sleeves added a fun, feminine detail to keep it from looking too corporate.

Loft almost won me over with their sleeveless lace-detail dress, but the skirt was a little too flouncy for my preference. I wish Nordstrom would adjust the sizing on this dress from Bobeau because it’s SO comfortable, but I’m a size somewhere between small and medium that doesn’t exist. The pockets kind of oddly accentuated my hips, too so beware if you have some curves like me.

There’s a few wedding guest dress favorites for spring if you’re shopping around, too! Hopefully my thoughts and personal experiences can help you pick out a new dress for your own body type and preferences.
