Coffee Chat No. 9

Well, well, well – it’s nice to see you Friday! I never thought you’d show up. We had 5+ inches of snow dumped on us in Wisconsin this week, so it kind of feels like January. I’ve resigned myself to the possibility that winter will never end this year, and I might as well continue to stock up on layers and sweaters for the foreseeable future. Sigh.

On the upside, it’s the freakin’ weekend so let’s have us some fun! After coffee and when I’m able to pull myself out from under a pile of 30 blankets.

Update on this week’s makeup post. The Clinique foundation that I talk about? Meh. I’m officially returning it. It clings pretty bad to dry patches but also ends up being oily after only a couple hours. I have drugstore foundations that work better than that.

Thank goodness I have a hair appointment in a few weeks. My bob has grown out a bit, so I currently feel like I look like a round-top mushroom cap. Girlfriend here needs a trim! #truelife

Did anybody else audibly scream at their phone screen when Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced their separation earlier this week? I tell ya, we think we know everybody and their mom with social media these days and then these bombshells get dropped on us. Nobody is safe.

Also on the topic of celebrity gossip, can we quickly discuss what an even bigger d-bag Bachelor Arie is than he already was? People need to pull their heads out of you-know-where and think before posting this crap. It’s not funny. #rantover

This week’s nail polish color. It’s a pretty pale pink with the slightest peach undertone.

I don’t often shop at Loft – the sizing can be hit or miss for my body type – but I couldn’t resist their Easter weekend sale. This dress was my big purchase – fingers crossed I ordered the correct size! The color is so pretty for spring, and it’s such a classic look that I think I can wear it for a million different things.

That’s all I’ve got for today’s coffee chat! I hope that you have a stellar weekend, and see you back here next week!

Recent posts that you might’ve missed: spring sneakers for less than $60 and new makeup that I’m testing, loving & disliking.

I totally agree with you about Loft! Can’t wait to hear how you like the dress. Have a great weekend, girl!

The dress was too big, but I love the cut/color of it. So pretty! I might still exchange it. Happy Sunday!

Happy Friday, it’s been a week! Spring weather can’t get here soon enough! I agree, disappointing news about Channing and Jenna, sure wish one of these celebrity couples we like would make it. Pretty nail color and I love the dress!

I was in California last week visiting my sister and it was in the 70s and 80s. Like why do I live here again?! Ugh. Anyways!! I found Arie to be SO boring and selfish. Lauren kinda is too. So sad about Channing and Jenna too. It just seems like a lot of celebrities give up too easily. I like Loft but I have that same problem. That dress is really cute though and I hope that it works out for you! 🙂 Have a great weekend!

I refuse to accept that Channing & Jenna separated. It’s just heartbreaking. Brian doesn’t understand my pain.

Yes to Channing and Jenna- I thought they were in it for the long haul! And I got frustrated too when I saw your Insta story about Arie- how insensitive! I’m not a bachelor fan, but I haven’t seen anything positive about that guy. Also, the color of that dress will be perfect on you!!

Ugh, I just hate when people do April fools jokes like that. It’s so insensitive. And, thanks girl! The dress was too big, but the color is SO pretty.
