Coffee with Karly | Gray Hairs, Shopping Faves & Thanksgiving Prep

TGIF! Two coffee chats in two weeks? WHO AM I? I guess I just have a lot to share right now. That, or I just love to ramble about insignificant nothings. 😉 Either way, these are the types of posts that I look forward most to writing. I wish I lived closer to all of you so we could really go grab coffee for real, but this will just have to do! Okay, time for coffee with Karly vol. 4.

I seriously don’t know how I ever lived before that little snuggle bug came into our life. My stress levels have been through the roof lately, but Finn somehow manages to calm me down throughout the day. #girlsbestfriend

Anyway, let’s talk about the most traumatic part of my week – I FINALLY FOUND/SAW A GRAY HAIR. My hairdresser told me at my last appointment that I actually have quite a few gray hairs already, but since I hadn’t seen them it was kind of out-of-sight/out-of-mind. Welp, ignorance is no longer bliss. Would you judge me if I told you I sat on the bathroom floor and cried a few tears? Judge away! I’m dramatic, what can I say. I have no clue what the average age is to start seeing gray hairs, but I never thought it would be the measly age of 28. Oh well, bless thy creator of hair dye.

This is all the more reason for me to chop my hair in a few weeks, right?! Current inspiration picture – it changes daily.

I’m glad that my renewed perspective on blogging resonated with many of you. Your comments were so positive and encouraging! We all need to continue to support one another and allow our voices/opinions to be heard. There’s plenty of room for all of us, and I think you’re all rock stars.

Old Navy needs to quit emailing me coupons. That store is my kryptonite right now. Thanks to 40% off, I ordered this embroidered blouse and buffalo check blouse. I’m waiting for both to arrive, so check Instagram stories for the final verdict.

Also on the topic of shopping, we’re taking our household love of Disney to a whole new level this year. Matching Disney Christmas jammies. Even for Finn!

It’s hard to believe we’re only a few days away from Thanksgiving! My parents are coming Wednesday with the rest of my family arriving sometime Thursday for the big meal. Grocery shopping and wrapping up all the house projects are on our weekend agenda. Are you hosting? Got your turkey yet?

WHO ELSE HAS TAYLOR SWIFT ON REPEAT?! It’s #cantstopwontstop over here. The album has far exceeded my expectations, and it’s damn near impossible to pick a favorite song. Don’t Blame Me and New Year’s Day are probably my top right now, though.

And, on that note – I’m outta here! Ryan surprised me by scoring yesterday off work, so we lucked out with an extra-long weekend (he has every other weekend off, including Fridays). Besides Thanksgiving prep, we’re going to hit up a big local Christmas craft fair tomorrow and maybe get out to see a movie – Murder on the Orient Express looks pretty good, yeah?

Have a warm and wonderful weekend!

I love the haircut you’re looking at!! Hair chops are always a little nerve wrecking, but oh so worth it in the end 🙂 Can’t wait to see how it looks! We’re road tripping to Southern California Wednesday afternoon to spend the holiday/weekend with my boyfriend’s big family. We’re excited, especially to stay right on the beach!

Ahhh, I can’t believe I haven’t listened to the new T Swift album! I think I was turned off by “Look What You Made Me Do” that I’m nervous to listen to the rest… I mean, what could beat 1989??

Hope you had a great and productive weekend!

    • Thank you! I’m definitely leaning toward the chop more everyday, so we will see. 🙂 I don’t think anything can top 1989, but this album is pretty awesome. LWYMMD is nothing like the rest of the songs! Safe travels this week and happy thanksgiving!

That cut would be absolute perfection on you; however, you always look beautiful! The Old Navy tops – LOVE. I adore boho chic things and that plaid, so cute! Wishing you, Ryan, Finn and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving!

    • Thanks, Ann! I’m definitely leaning toward cutting my hair similar to that style – I just have to work up the courage since I become attached to my long hair, ha! Old Navy tops are the best. I hope that you and Joe have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Your hair always looks amazing and I only see blonde! 🙂 I also keep getting all of these coupons from Old Navy which then makes me think about that sweatshirt!! Gaahh. Anyways, have a fab weekend and enjoy your extra day with Ryan! 🙂

    • It’s so good! Having listened to it quite a few times now, there’s definitely songs that I like better than others, but of course it’s another home run album for her. Hope you’re enjoying the weekend!
