Get to Know Me in 3’s

This time of year always brings about a feeling of a fresh start and new perspective for the remainder of the year. Maybe it’s the nostalgic part of me that wishes I still was headed back to school. Oh, how I miss those days … mostly for the school supplies shopping. 😉 In the spirit of new beginnings, I’m jumping on the get to know me in 3’s bandwagon. These posts have been so fun to read from other bloggers, so hopefully you can get to know me a little better, too!

Get to Know Me in 3's

Hairbrush – seriously, Ryan hid my brush from me one time and I FLIPPED OUT.

Three favorite drinks
This originally was favorite cocktails, but I’m not a big drinker so I’m including regular drinks, too.

Dasani water drops

Three favorite movies

Singin’ in the Rain
The Young Victoria
Pride & Prejudice

Three favorite simple pleasures in life

Being greeted by an excited Finn when I walk through the door

Drinking coffee in bed on a lazy Sunday morning

What I Read in April

Three things that always are in my car

A pack of gum
Gym bag

Three things I always have with me

A pen

Three things I regret doing/not doing

While there are a couple things that I wish I did differently while in college – study abroad for a semester and not join a sorority (I left the one I was in after my sophomore year) – I can’t say that I have any actual regrets! I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason even if we don’t understand the why/how of it at the time.

Three most recent places I’ve traveled to

Orlando, Fla.
Door County, Wis.
San Juan, Puerto Rico

Jumping in front of Cinderella's Castle at Magic Kingdom

Three most often-used makeup products

Pressed powder
Lip balm

Three things that make me cry

Welcome home videos of servicemen and women reuniting with family/pets
The music from Beauty and the Beast – these are happy tears!
When I’m feeling anxious, overwhelmed or not good enough

Three things that make me smile/laugh

Ryan making up voices and doing impersonations
Finn falling asleep while sitting up
Any skit/video from James Corden

Three places I want to visit in the U.S.

Charleston, S.C.
Boston, Mass.
San Francisco, Calif.

Three places I want to visit outside the U.S.

Three blessings in my life

Being married to my best friend
The roof over my head and the feeling of home that we’ve created
Waking up with a choice of what I do and don’t want to do with my life

Alex Good Photography_Milwaukee_couples lifestyle session with dog
Okay – get to know me in 3’s was not as easy as I thought! Some of these actually were pretty difficult to come up with three or narrow it down to just that! Anything surprise you? Or not? If you play along, leave me a link to your post!

kraft mac n cheese is SO GOOD. i only discovered it in the last couple of years and i seriously have to avoid that aisle so i don’t eat it every day. i’ve never tried the dasani water drops, we’ve given up soda so we’ve been drinking a lot of sparkling water. maybe i need to try that! i love sprite and moscato though, besties 😉 and obviously p&p is my favourite too, so double besties.
welcome home videos kill me. KILL ME.

definitely give the water drops a try! i hardly ever drink pop, but I also can’t drink plain water easily. Those water drops have been a saving grace!

This post is so fun – there really is nothing like being treated by a dog when you walk in the door! All that excitement and love!

I loved reading this! Sooo many yesses. Your foods are my favorites too, I’m a sucker for grilled cheese. And I love when Pip greets me at the door, it makes coming home even better. Pride and prejudice is one of the only movies I can watch time after time, LOVE it. Those videos also get me every single time!

I think my mom and I could watch P&P on repeat every single day and never tire of it, ha! And, it’s a good thing that Ryan is a master grilled cheese maker because I ask for one waaaaay too often. 🙂

I wish I had studied abroad during college too. My cousins have done it, and being based in London and Florence they were able to see so much of Europe while over there. Absolutely amazing experience <3

That’s so neat! London is definitely where I would’ve wanted to go, too. Oh well, I hope to at least visit someday!

I love this! I feel like I know a lot more about you now lol! And we share a love for mac & cheese and grilled cheese…mmmm…

Oh, I’m so glad! Haha. Isn’t it funny how we all feel like we know each other through blogging, but there’s still little things we always learn? And, now I’m craving a grilled cheese. 😉

Nothing better than coming in the door to an excited pup!! And please take a video of Finn sleeping sitting up – hilarious!

I swear that he knows whenever I’m trying to video him! He’ll be nodding his head up and down as he’s dozing off, and as soon as I hit the button to record a video he’s wide awake. Weird dog, lol!

I love that we both did this post today! These really are so much fun to read, and I love that we both said that the videos of soldiers coming home and surprising their families or pets makes us cry. They’re just so happy that I can’t help but tear up!

I love that we did this on the same day, too! So many similar things. Those videos cut straight to my heart! I think part of it is because I witnessed similar things when I was at my brother’s naval homecoming (he was in the U.S. Navy and deployed for 9 months), so those feelings of just pure happiness and joy remind me of that day.
