My Favorite Travel Makeup Bag

Happy Friday! Who’s ready to kick-off 4th of July celebrations a little early? *raises hand* I know several of us take off for vacation or a long weekend away around this time. If you’re anything like me then you like to pack a lot of makeup. Even if I don’t plan to put much or any on, I just feel better knowing I have all my options with me. That’s where my favorite travel makeup bag comes in – the Lay-n-Go Cosmo Cosmetic Bag.

My Favorite Travel Makeup Bag
As much as I love the cute makeup bags as the next person, it’s a complete pain to constantly dig through a bag to find a specific product. More times than not I get so fed up that I just dump everything out onto the floor or counter. I like to be able to see all the products laid out in front of me! (OCD much? Maybe).

My mom gifted me the Lay-n-Go as a stocking stuffer a couple Christmases back, and it has been a total travel game-changer. Not only can I fit three times the amount of makeup in this bag, but it solves the above issue! With this bag, I simply open it up onto a flat surface and all my products are nicely visible. When I’m finished, I just tighten the bag back up, and it takes up minimal space in whatever luggage I’m traveling with.

I’m also a fan of the bag material. It’s easy to wipe up and clean any spills or makeup residue.

Now, the obvious downside of this cosmetic bag is that brushes and larger eye shadow palettes don’t fit. This doesn’t bother me since I always pack my brushes in a separate Ziploc bag, and I can just toss a palette right into a suitcase compartment. But, if you want one cosmetic bag to hold absolutely everything then this probably isn’t a good fit for you. Just fair warning!

I know that my mom found my favorite travel makeup bag at Costco, but it’s also available on Amazon and at Forever21. If you have any upcoming summer travels, I highly recommend that you give this bag a try!

This is awesome! I love how small it gets – I could actually make room for this in my diaper bag for every day use too!

@Disneyland is full of hidden scenes and little details. This area in particular, right around the corner from Fantasyland, was my favorite of them all! Maybe because we were there early before the crowds came pouring in, or maybe I was taking a moment to be nostalgic ... either way this was the first time in a few months that I felt happy and 100% myself. Perhaps that’s the magic of Disney that Walt always talked about. #adultsatdisney #disneyland
