Top 8 Spring 2017 Bucket List

Happy Monday, and happy first day of spring! While the season hasn’t yet sprung outside, I’m confident that the official calendar day will help move things along. At the very least, we know that daily warmer weather and sunshine is in the inevitable future so we can look forward to that and be excited! I always enjoy putting together a to-do list at the start of a new season, so I want to share my top 8 spring 2017 bucket list with you today.

Top 8 Spring 2017 Bucket List
Finish our master bedroom renovation. No shock here that this is first on my list! The room is painted, new baseboards and crown molding are installed, and all our new furniture is purchased. We listed our current furniture set on Craigslist, so we are keeping our fingers crossed for a quick sell. Once that is out and the new furniture is set up, it’s time to decorate!

Find a local tulip festival and/or display. I always kick myself for not making it to the annual Tulip Festival in Pella, Iowa, when we lived near there. So now, I’m determined to find a similar event in our local area! There’s nothing like bright, colorful tulips to get into the warm weather spirit.

Go to a flea market. Considering what a farmhouse decor junkie that I am, it’s hard to believe that I’ve never been to a flea market. They look so fun! I’d love to score some unique, vintage goods and try my hand at bargaining with the vendors.

Donate to Goodwill. It’s about time that we get the massive pile of crap (what hopefully will be someone’s treasure!) out of our basement. Our local Goodwill is right down the street, so there’s no excuse to finally take care of this.

Start a new exercise class. Even though I exercise regularly, I still have failed to find a group class to get involved with. The classes that I’m interested in never seem to have ideal times available that work with my schedule. However, I think I’m just going to suck it up and make it work.

Find the perfect pair of white skinnies. Anybody else struggle with this? Or have any suggestions? I’m all ears! This pair from Old Navy is on my radar since they are high waist.

Put together photo books. While I was sick, I took advantage of the downtime to put together a photo book of our recent trip to Florida. It was so fun and not even that time-consuming! It gave me the motivation to get books together from our other vacations and recent yearly memories. I use Mpix, and I can’t recommend the site enough. Affordable, good quality and easy to use.

Start to plan our road trip to Waco, Texas. We haven’t 100% yet committed to this trip, but I hope that if we sit down to do some planning that it will become a reality! I’m not the biggest fan of being in the car for extended periods of time, but having our car for this trip equals more shopping. Sarah’s recent posts with highlights from her trip is loaded with tips and suggestions, so planning doesn’t seem so daunting.

There it is – my top 8 spring 2017 bucket list! Help keep me accountable on all this, will ya? πŸ˜‰

    • We sold all our furniture this weekend, yippee! It only was up for a week, too so not too bad. I absolutely love Mpix for photo prints, and our photo book turned out great. I highly recommend them!

  2. ALL of this. Yes to ALL! I need a better pair of white skinny jeans, and LOVEE flea markets this time of the year! And need to clean out something awful. Also love that picture for the post, the perfect pinnable image:)!

    • Awe, thanks girl! Creating “pinnable” images is SO not my strong suit, so I appreciate you saying that. πŸ™‚ I hope you can do some of these fun spring things, too!

  4. A tulip festival sounds fun! So does that road trip. I feel like you and Jo are going to hit it off! πŸ˜‰ Maybe you can make a stop here and we can meet up. πŸ™‚ I struggled to find the right pair of skinny jeans. I like that pair that I have, but sometimes I wish that I went with a different brand. Hopefully spring will get here soon too! Have a great day!!! πŸ™‚

    • Baha, I highly doubt I would be lucky enough to meet her! πŸ™‚ Yes, hopefully spring will be here soon enough!

  5. Ohh I so hope you guys get to go to Waco- that would be such a fun trip. Photo books are the best, but take so much time to get just right. I’ve been working on one from a trip almost a year ago, but only do a page or two every few months, haha. I can’t wait to hear what you think of those jeans if you try them- I need a new pair of white jeans too!

    • I hope we get to do it, too! The hard part about a road trip is just planning how much travel time/days we need to get there and back. But, I’m hoping we can make it work. I will report back on the jeans – I did order them, but Old Navy is taking forever to ship them!

    • Awe, thanks for stopping by Sarah! Your Waco trip recaps got me all geared up for our road trip. I can’t wait to hit up all the antique stores!

  8. I have a giant bag of stuff to be donated to Good Will! It feels so good to clear out clothes that haven’t seen the light of day in months.

  9. Please please please make the road trip to Waco because I don’t think that you’ll regret it, even with the long amount of time in the car! And I’m so far behind on making our annual photobooks and books from our vacations, so I’m hoping that I’ll have some time to work on it in the upcoming months as well! I hope that weather really starts to warm up for you soon!

    • We are working on it! The hard part with a road trip is figuring out how many travel days we need aside from just spending a few days in Waco itself. But I am so excited to have the car – I’m willing to sacrifice that in order to shop more, lol. πŸ™‚

This is a great list and there are a couple of things it would be fun to do with you – tulip festival and going to a flea market! There have been beautiful tulips at the store, a little way to bring it home if you can’t get to one in person! If I know you, you will accomplish everything on your list!

    • I think I need to pick up some spring flowers to add around the house! And, it would be so fun to do a flea market together!

  13. A tulip display sounds heavenly! We don’t have anything like that around here that I know of. I find I am much more consistent with working out/doing weight training if I find a class that I love! If not, I just hop on the elliptical and leave when I’m done. Fingers crossed you find some you like!

@Disneyland is full of hidden scenes and little details. This area in particular, right around the corner from Fantasyland, was my favorite of them all! Maybe because we were there early before the crowds came pouring in, or maybe I was taking a moment to be nostalgic ... either way this was the first time in a few months that I felt happy and 100% myself. Perhaps that’s the magic of Disney that Walt always talked about. #adultsatdisney #disneyland
