Is it just me, or are the first few days home following vacation always a doozy? I’m up to my ears in laundry, there’s a mile-long to-do list, and if that wasn’t enough, both Ryan and I came down with our usual post-vacation head colds. I’ll happily head back to Florida now, please and thank you! On the bright side, at least we’re halfway through the week. Since I’m still playing major catch up, here’s a few things that I’m up to and what’s been on my mind currently …
Enjoying: Going through all our vacation photos! I realized that I never really shared where we were going or what we were doing this year. We headed back to Florida to hit up Disney World (again!), and we also rented a car one day to make the short drive to the Kennedy Space Center. We had the best time, and I’ll be sharing more in the next few weeks.
Dreaming of: Our finished master bedroom. Ryan was able to accomplish a majority of the painting before we left for vacation, and all the major furniture pieces are purchased except a bed frame and the dresser. We hope to get our current furniture listed on Craigslist in the next couple weeks and wrap up the room by the end of the month. Bring on the decorating! You can see all my inspiration in this post.
Wearing: Mod About You by OPI on my nails. I now understand why everybody says this is the perfect pink. Oh, and my Tiffany & Co. silver bow stud earrings that Ryan surprised me with for my birthday.
Listening to: All and anything from Ed Sheeran; Love on the Weekend from John Mayer; and Greatest Love Story from LANCO.
Watching: No Tomorrow on Netflix. This is a seriously cute show, and you definitely should watch it if you’re looking for something light-hearted and sweet/corny. Thanks, Kristen for the recommendation!
Reading: Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald by Therese Anne Fowler. So far, this isn’t the most exciting read, but I’m hoping that it picks up a bit. We recently watched the Amazon Prime series that I believe is based on this book, so that helps to give it some context.
Missing: The sunshine and high 80-degree weather every. single. day. It was a tad depressing to come home to nearly four inches of snow.
Feeling: Restless. Maybe it’s that time of year when winter is practically over and it’s not quite spring, but I am going stir crazy. I’m itching to start a new project or just try something new.
Loving: The Hot Tools Hot Thermal Styling Brush. Remember this gem that I did a whole video tutorial on last year? I stopped reaching for it for a while, but I picked it back up after my last hair appointment and will never ignore it again. Nothing beats the bounce and shine that this brush gives my hair.
Looking forward to: Another long weekend with Ryan home from work!
That’s it from me today! Time to go get the house in order and our health in check. If you’ve been up to anything fun recently or have any random thoughts to share, please do in the comments so me and my box of Kleenex have something fun to read in bed. ๐
I’ve heard great things about No Tomorrow! And my husband and I are hooked on Greatest Love Story- it’s been on repeat some. Brett grew up right by Kennedy Space Center- it’s hard for me to imagine a life in a Florida, getting to go to Disney often! I hope you enjoyed your long weekend!
How cool that he grew up right there – we really enjoyed our day trip to the visitors center! Isn’t Greatest Love Story just the sweetest song? I can’t get enough!
Oh man how I want to go back to Disney! You should definitely do a post about your recent trip!
I’m working on it! ๐
Your hair looks amazing and I’ve also been loving all of the songs from Ed Sheeran.

Thank you so much! And, Ed Sheeran can do no wrong lately.
I’m always looking for new TV shows to watch so I can’t wait to check out No Tomorrow!
It’s so stinkin cute, Enjoy!
80 degree weather and sunshine sounds fabulous! I hope that comes to ATL soon!
Right?! We’re supposed to have snow tomorrow, ugh!
I loved the Disney pics!! I was there in Feb. Hope you feel better! I did the same when I came home. My souvenir was the flu! Haha
Haha, that’s exactly what my souvenir is, too!
I hope you get to feeling better soon, lady- getting sick right after vacay just makes re-entry into the real world even tougher!

Thank you! And, yes – that polish color is such a good pink.

We had so much fun and learned a lot while we were there, I’m glad we were able to do that this trip!
I can’t wait to hear more about your Disney trip! It sounds like you had a blast, which you should since it’s the happiest place on earth! I’m totally obsessing over Ed Sheeran’s new album and I’ve been listening to it on repeat the past few days! I hope you’re having a great Wednesday!
We were a little worried that we wouldn’t have as much fun the second year in a row, but it was just as much fun (if not more) because it was much more relaxed! Loving all of Ed Sheeran’s new stuff, so good!
I think you should just move to Florida (Tampa specifically) so you can have all the good weather vibes all time and then we can hang out.
I would totally be okay with that. ๐
I’m currently wishing for warm weather so I can get outside! Your Disney trip looked wonderful, so happy you and Ryan were able to do that again! Feel better soon!
I’m glad we were able to do it, too – thanks to you for watching Finn!
I cannot wait to hear all about your trip!! Thanks for sharing about that Netflix show – I love to turn on something easy like that somedays at the office to eat lunch and I’ve been out of shows for a while!
Yes, No Tomorrow is perfect for that! I admit that I finished it this morning and was a little disappointed by the ending, but it’s still worth the watch.
So happy you guys had amazing weather!! Can’t wait to hear about your trip! And yes, spring pleeeease come soon!
Right? SO over this cold!
So excited to hear more about your trip- when we went to Disney when I was little we went to the Kennedy Space Center too & it was so fun. I’ve been listening to Ed’s album on repeat too- so good!
I couldn’t believe how drastically different the KSC was compared to when I was younger – it was so fascinating!
Wow very great post! Want to know about your last trip!! We’re waiting dear!

NEW POST: TULLE SKIRT & MESSY BUN, IN PARIS
Thank you!
I can’t wait to hear about your Disney trip! We drove over to Cape Canaveral for a beach day last year but our back up plan was the space center if it decided to rain that day – I was kind of bummed we didn’t make it. Isn’t the new Ed Sheeran AMAZING? I’ve basically been listening to it since Friday!
We loved the KSC – I admit that I was skeptical at first because we mostly were going for Ryan to break up all the Disney since that’s all we did last year. But, it was so fascinating and I learned a lot.
We flew through No Tomorrow – or rather I did because Gary wasn’t into it LOL! I dont’ think it got renewed for another season which is a bummer! Yes to Ed Sheeran’s new album, so so good!! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston
I am so bummed if No Tomorrow isn’t coming back for another season – didn’t you think the last episode was kind of a bummer? I need some more resolution!
