My Favorite Holiday Card Picks from Minted

I hope that everybody had a great weekend! T-minus one week until Thanksgiving, and then Christmas will be here before we know it. Crazy, right? With everybody having new photos taken (you can see our fall family photos in this post), it’s about that time to think about holiday cards! Today, I’m sharing my favorite holiday card picks from Minted if you too want to get a jump on selecting and ordering your cards.

We always opt for a photo holiday card. This started back when we got married, and we quickly discovered that most friends and family enjoy seeing an updated photo of you as a couple or your family. My mom keeps our card on the refrigerator all year! Because of that, I try to stick to simple and classic card designs so it can be displayed well after the holiday season.

This was my first time ordering stationary from Minted. We typically order our cards from Shutterfly, which I still love, but I just wanted to try something new. Plus, I really enjoy all the customization options that Minted offers. For most cards, you can choose from several different greetings – Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, etc. – as well as different color schemes.

I had such a hard time narrowing down our choices this year. I obviously was drawn to greenery and flourishes, which isn’t surprising given my home decor aesthetic. I knew that I wanted to highlight just one of our favorite photos from our fall family session, so I was happy with the amount of options there were to frame the photo without being too overpowering. The design that we did choose is the perfect balance of simplicity with just enough Christmas flair. And, why did it only occur to me this year to choose a card with the year on it? It’s such a little detail, but it’s a good idea if you keep or scrapbook your cards year after year.

There you have it! My favorite holiday card picks from Minted. With so many of our schedules piling up already for the holidays, I hope this is able to help you easily pick out a card and get them in the mail!
