I’m back! We had a great time last week during our getaway to Door County, Wis. It was a nice change of pace for a few days, and I even was forced to disconnect for a majority of the time since cell reception and Internet connection were far from stellar. I didn’t mind one single bit. I plan to have a trip recap and guide up in the next couple weeks! For today, I want to share my go-to (aka brainless) outfit as of late – there’s just something so easy about cool and casual weekend wear.
Not that I ever really opt for much color, but there’s something with the cooler temperatures that makes me want to wear some variety of black, white and gray at all times. This tunic tee from Betsy Boo’s Boutique meets all that criteria, whether I wear it alone or layered like I did for this look. My favorite feature of the tee? The knit sleeves and pocket. Not only does it add a fun detail to the design of the top, but the sleeves actually add a bit of warmth! I have a horrible habit of pulling my sleeves down over my hands – yes, I even still love those tees and sweatshirts with thumb holes – so I was thrilled to learn that the sleeves on this top were a tad longer just for that purpose.
We also need to take a quick second to feature the best purse that I’ve ever owned – the Thalia saddle purse from Sole Society. You guys – each and every one of you NEEDS this purse. It is the perfect size for everyday wear, especially with the cross-body design. The inside pockets also are nice and deep to keep your phone and any other personal items secure. I snagged this during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but the regular price of $50 is worth every single penny if you ask me. I might even order it in another color (or two).

As if the week before vacation wasn’t busy, coming home always is met with lots of items on the to-do list! We finally have the last (hopefully!) pieces of our kitchen being installed Tuesday, and I’ll be playing catch up with work. I hope all of you are off to a great start to the week!
What are your favorite weekend wear pieces?
