Three Ways to Feel Comfydent for Date Night

Summer always is my favorite season for date night. There’s a lot more activity in our town during the warmer months, so Ryan and I seem to make more of an effort to indulge in at least one weekly date night to get out and enjoy a game of mini golf, drinks al fresco by the lake, or even a trip to the local drive-in for a casual meal of a hot dog and fries (my favorite!).

However, I really struggle with feeling confident as I get dressed for date night. I’m not sure why, but there always seems to be an added pressure to look just right and even almost eight years later, I still want to impress my husband! That’s why I make sure to follow three key steps as I get ready so that I look and feel my best.

Three Ways to Feel Comfydent for Date Night

I’m not one to sacrifice comfort for style, so comfortable and cute undergarments are my secret weapon to feel confident. I would argue that no woman feels at her best without quality and properly-sized undergarments. Plus, summertime = sunshine = sweat (and lots of it, if you’re anything like me!), and the last thing that I want to do is tug and pull at my clothes all night long. That’s why I typically opt for soft, breathable fabrics that have a bit of stretch to them during this time of year.

I’ve been reaching for the Hanes Ultimate Comfy Support ComfortFlex Fitยฎ Wire-Free Bra since the seamless design lends itself to a smooth, line-free silhouette under any clothing. It also has a tag-free label to ensure itch-free comfort, and the versatile style makes this bra a great foundation for any look.

Hanes Cool Comfortยฎ Cotton Bikini Panties, made with wicking fabric, keeps you cool for all-day comfort – perfect for summertime date nights! The soft, breathable cotton comes preshrunk for a lasting fit, and the low-rise elastic waist fits gently for all-day ease. Plus, you can’t beat the price! You can find them in a pack of six for $13. Especially for date night, I love to pull out a special piece of jewelry that I don’t normally get to wear. Usually my choice is my Tiffany charm bracelet. The bracelet was a gift from Ryan for my college graduation, and we have since begun to add Tiffany charms to it that represent a vacation or special milestone. It will come as no surprise that my favorite charm yet is the Tiffany dog bone to symbolize when we adopted Finley!

Three Ways to Feel Comfydent for Date Night

Since I stick to a nude lip for everyday wear, I almost always reach for a bright or bold lip color for date night and special occasions. It’s amazing what a simple change of lipstick color can do for your facial features (teeth included!) and how it pulls a whole outfit together. I gravitate toward berry hues and darker colors, but you never can go wrong with a pop of red on the lips.

If you also struggle with getting ready for date night, I encourage you to give these three tricks a try! They are a no-fail way to instantly feel put-together and at your finest. Just remember that when you’re comfortable, you’re confident!

I think a bold lip is always a good idea for date night. Such a fun way to spice things up! Loving that dress – it looks so comfy and airy!

That dress is so comfortable! Unfortunately, it didn’t photograph as well as I hoped (it wasn’t the most flattering in photos but looked fine in real life), but I still love it nonetheless.

I’m glad I’m not the only one! I always feel like I struggle to find something that I like to wear for a date night because I want to look just right since we’re doing something out of the norm. I love all three of your things to try to feel more confident, but I really love the one about adding a bold lipstick color! I have a friend that always says that no matter what, if you put on lipstick you just automatically feel more pulled together. Enjoy the rest of your summer date nights!

I couldn’t agree with your friend more! I rarely feel finished until I put lipstick on, and a bold color just makes everything pop.
