Happy Monday, all! I’m definitely getting spoiled this month – Ryan was off from work again this weekend, so we took full advantage of the extra time together. While we mainly were stuck inside due to gloomy skies and stormy weather, the clouds parted for a gorgeous day yesterday to spend at Faire on the Green at the Paine Art Center and Gardens. You all know by now just how much I love this place (check out past visits here and here), and this event was no different – with more than 100 craft vendors, fair food and live music, it was a great way to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. My favorite part of the day was that admission to the mansion and the gardens was free, so were able to aimlessly wander the not-so-secret garden and take in the fresh summer blooms.
I love to come across hidden nooks in the gardens that house gorgeous, unique benches. These scenes remind me of something straight out of a storybook!
The rose garden and reflection pond always is a highlight as it’s directly behind the property and sectioned off by stone walls and arbors.
You also can’t help but marvel at all the architecture of the mansion. Just like a lot of other bloggers, I have a “thing” for doors and these are no exception – I mean, can you even imagine living there and walking through those wooden double doors everyday? That’s what dreams are made of, people.
This was the first time that Ryan had visited the mansion since we went at Christmastime, so it was fun to share this experience with him and enjoy a beautiful day outside together!
How was your weekend? Get up to anything fun?

What a gorgeous place! Love your hairstyle & outfit. Are you going to do a tutorial on that hair? π xo, Champagne&Suburbs
You are so sweet, thank you! I did a tutorial a LONG time ago, so maybe I’ll do an updated one. Thanks for the idea!
Looks like such a beautiful place to be! That really does sound like the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Love your top!

Oh, yes! You’re so right! Love Notting Hill.
This place is so beautiful, and even better that you got to walk around the garden and mansion for free! The event sounds like so much fun, but I also love that you got to sneak away to the small garden for a little bit too!
Yes, that was my absolute favorite part! It was as crowded as I’ve ever seen it (they only have the free day once a year), but it was still pretty peaceful.
I loved the Secret Garden growing up and this reminds me so much of the movie! Itβs beautiful!
It’s one of my favorite books/movies, too!
