Friday Five | What I’m Loving

Hello, last weekend of June … (!) So, I guess summer is going to fly by? It seems like we wait all year for summer to arrive – especially true in the Midwest – and then it’s gone in the blink of an eye. I guess that means that we’re busy, so I’m not complaining, but I also wouldn’t mind if things slowed down a bit so I can savor every last minute.

Friday Five What I'm Loving

With an incredibly (and somewhat unplanned) hectic last weekend, I’ve been playing catch up all week, and I’m afraid that same mentality is following me into the weekend. With Ryan back at work, I’m hoping to knock out at least half of my ever-growing to-do list. I also need to get a few workouts in because no kitchen equals eating out A LOT, and my waistline isn’t too happy about that these days.

But, before I jump back to it, I want to share a few things that I’ve been loving and have been on my radar.

| I’m loving all the 4th of July collections that stores are releasing, and Gap’s Americana collection in particular caught my eye. I have my eye on this top and swimsuit whenever my size comes back in stock.

| Did anybody else find The Bachelorette just a tad boring this week? I’m the first to admit that I’m going to miss “Bad Chad.” He is horribly unbalanced, but he also made for entertaining television. I still think Jordan is sketchy and hasn’t fully revealed his ways yet, and little Marine boy needs to go. He thinks that he is so smart with his strategy – bully one guy at a time to better his odds with JoJo. Sorry, buddy – she’s never going to end up with you. At least Evan and his weird ways and nosebleeds finally left us this week.

| In case you missed it, I received a new Stitch Fix this week and it was a pretty good one. Be sure to check it out!

| Not even sure how this happened, but I finally watched an episode of Gilmore Girls this week that I had never seen – how in the heck did I miss Emily and Richard’s vow renewal that ultimately broke up Luke and Lorelai for the first time?! I was going out of my mind. The episode also kind of ticks me off because it’s the beginning of the downfall of Rory – I cannot stand Logan. #TeamJess

| I loved this post from Chelsea about when life is hard. Fight like hell for those precious moments, and hold onto them for as long as you can. In a world as messed up as ours lately, we need to find happiness in those little in between moments.

And, on that note – I’m out. Have a great weekend!

Linking up with Amanda.

Logan was definitely my least favorite of all of Rory’s boyfriends! I haven’t watched Gilmore Girls in forever, but I feel like I need to go back and rewatch it so I can be fully ready for the return later on this year! And you’re totally right! The Bachelorette was really boring last week! At least Chad brought the drama with him! I also hated how upset all the guys got about the Us Weekly article. I mean, it’s called a gossip magazine for a reason, right!

ugh i hate logan too. and um i did the same thing with another tv show, i was watching it one day and i was like i’ve never seen this episode before and i thought i’d seen all the episodes like 3 or 4 times lol.

What a sweet picture of Finn! I can’t believe it is already the beginning of July, where has the summer gone? I second last week’s episode of the Bachelorette, hoping tonight is better! Xo, Stephanie

Love that picture of Finn!! He is so cute. 🙂 I also wish that things would slow down in terms of the weather. Just gotta soak up every minute of every nice day!! Have a wonderful weekend!! 🙂

I LOVE Gilmore Girls! I don’t watch the Bachelor, so I never know what is going on with it. Enjoy your weekend!

It’s probably a good thing that you don’t want Bachelor/Bachelorette – you have more brain cells as a result! 🙂

Finn – what a model in that shot! I definitely wasn’t as into Bachelorette this week – just watched in the background.

Have the best weekend, my friend!

You and me both! And, Finn sure does like to model for the camera. Hope you’re having a great time in California!

I can’t wait for Jojo to send Alex home, he’s so cocky and it’s very off putting. I can’t believe you hadn’t seen that episode!! That was a crazy one. I wasn’t a Logan fan either!

I just started season 6, most of which I haven’t seen so from here on out it’s like a whole new world to me, lol.

I totally agree about the Bachelorette on all counts! This season is weird to me in general and I don’t like any of the guys all that much! Oh well, I guess you can’t love em all! Have a great weekend, girl!

    • 6.26.16

I do like some of the guys, but there hasn’t been enough attention on them because they just keep focusing on the crazies! Oh well, it’s good for entertainment at least!

Now you have me dying to watch Gilmore Girls, I have so much catching up to do! I agree with your summary of The Bachelorette, a little boring. You can never go wrong with clothes from The Gap, always classic. Hope your weekend is somewhat relaxing, I know the kitchen renovation continues.

    • 6.26.16

You need to watch Gilmore Girls before the new episodes come out in the fall/winter! Then hopefully we can watch them together.

  14. 6.24.16

I had that happen with an episode of Friends from season 1 or 2– I was like how have I never seen this episode?! I hope your weekend is productive and relaxing!

    • 6.26.16

Right?! It’s so weird when something like that happens with one of your favorite shows. Although, I haven’t seen most of season 6 and all of the last season of Gilmore Girls, so I’m sure I’m in for a treat now. Happy Sunday!

That’s exactly what I’m trying to do with Gilmore Girls – this way it all will be fresh in my head for the new episodes! Happy Sunday, girl!
