Friday Five | What I’m Loving

Hello, last weekend of June … (!) So, I guess summer is going to fly by? It seems like we wait all year for summer to arrive – especially true in the Midwest – and then it’s gone in the blink of an eye. I guess that means that we’re busy, so I’m not complaining, but I also wouldn’t mind if things slowed down a bit so I can savor every last minute.

Friday Five What I'm Loving

With an incredibly (and somewhat unplanned) hectic last weekend, I’ve been playing catch up all week, and I’m afraid that same mentality is following me into the weekend. With Ryan back at work, I’m hoping to knock out at least half of my ever-growing to-do list. I also need to get a few workouts in because no kitchen equals eating out A LOT, and my waistline isn’t too happy about that these days.

But, before I jump back to it, I want to share a few things that I’ve been loving and have been on my radar.

| I’m loving all the 4th of July collections that stores are releasing, and Gap’s Americana collection in particular caught my eye. I have my eye on this top and swimsuit whenever my size comes back in stock.

| Did anybody else find The Bachelorette just a tad boring this week? I’m the first to admit that I’m going to miss “Bad Chad.” He is horribly unbalanced, but he also made for entertaining television. I still think Jordan is sketchy and hasn’t fully revealed his ways yet, and little Marine boy needs to go. He thinks that he is so smart with his strategy – bully one guy at a time to better his odds with JoJo. Sorry, buddy – she’s never going to end up with you. At least Evan and his weird ways and nosebleeds finally left us this week.

| In case you missed it, I received a new Stitch Fix this week and it was a pretty good one. Be sure to check it out!

| Not even sure how this happened, but I finally watched an episode of Gilmore Girls this week that I had never seen – how in the heck did I miss Emily and Richard’s vow renewal that ultimately broke up Luke and Lorelai for the first time?! I was going out of my mind. The episode also kind of ticks me off because it’s the beginning of the downfall of Rory – I cannot stand Logan. #TeamJess

| I loved this post from Chelsea about when life is hard. Fight like hell for those precious moments, and hold onto them for as long as you can. In a world as messed up as ours lately, we need to find happiness in those little in between moments.

And, on that note – I’m out. Have a great weekend!

Linking up with Amanda.
