It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving week finally is here, which marks the official start to the holiday season. I, for one, am pretty excited to stuff my face Thursday, which calls for an outfit that consists of leggings and an oversized tunic to hide the temporary weight gain – the holidays only come but once a year, right? And, since I will be holed up in the house for the duration of the day, a pair of cozy socks and slippers are essential.
This will be the first time in my almost-27 years of life that I won’t be spending Thanksgiving with extended family on my side or Ryan’s side, but since Ryan has to work until the early afternoon we knew it was best if we just stayed home and celebrated the holiday as our own little family unit (Finley included!). As a young married couple with no kids yet in the picture, it can be difficult to lose sight of the fact that your significant other is now your immediate family above everybody else – I am determined this holiday season to put Ryan first and enjoy all the festivities as husband and wife and as a solid, growing family.
