With the unofficial arrival of summer, I’m always looking for fresh, lighter options for dinner. This grilled Caesar buffalo chicken salad looks like something not only me, but Ryan also, would devour.
We’ve been trying to figure out what to do about tables in our family
room for a few months now – I’m lucky enough that my dad is building us
a custom coffee table, and instead of side tables, I think we’re going
to opt for an easy DIY sofa table to match our wannabe-farmhouse style aesthetic.
Not only am I thrilled to have finally discovered Caitlin’s blog and incredible style, I’m obsessed with this blue and white breezy top with denim shorts that she wore in the past – perfect for summer.
Although I graduated college four years ago (already? yikes!), I always enjoy hearing what life lessons come out of the yearly commencement speeches from celebrities and political figures – this year had a great line up.
Give me a fluffy yellow cake with blueberries in it and a side of vanilla ice cream any day – yum!
Okay, I have to do a little hair rant here. I have SO appreciated all the kind comments the past week about my new ‘do – you’ve all definitely given me a boost of confidence! I’ll admit that the cut is a tad shorter than what I was expecting, and I’m not overly thrilled with it. Seriously, why is it so difficult to bring in nearly 20 pictures of the length that you’re looking for AND thoroughly explain that I still want it on the longer side, but then I walk out with a collarbone-length cut? This makes zero sense to me. Alas, I’ve decided to start making the 45-minute trek back to our old town to have my amazing stylist there take care of everything from now on – apparently, it’s worth it! On the upside, my hair does grow pretty quick, thanks to genetics and Biotin supplements, so I’m keeping this length in mind as a (hopefully) soon end-result.
With how versatile a denim jacket and a chambray shirt are, it never occurred to me to pair the two pieces together – I’m pretty sure this is going to be my new go-to weekend uniform.
I’m a huge fan of Lauren Scruggs Kennedy and her husband, E! correspondent Jason Kennedy, and this interview was a great read and super inspirational.
Sometimes, I want to have a party or host a get-together solely so I can try out some new appetizer recipes – these fried rosemary mozzarella balls are definitely going to be on a future menu.
