Turning 26 | An Interview with Mr. in the Midwest

Well, you’re all in for a treat today!

My better half officially is 26 today (my yearly six-week stint as a cougar has come and gone), and since Ryan has been quite the hit during his previous blog appearances here and here, I thought it would be fun to do another interview to allow him to reflect on the past year and celebrate what’s to come.

You’re 26 today. How do you feel?
How do I feel? I feel young considering the number … but age is just a number, right?

Reflecting back on 25, are there any moments or milestones that stand out?
Well, here’s my top three: purchasing a home, being promoted to a manager at work, and adopting Finley.

Do you have any goals that you want to accomplish as a 26-year-old?
I want to run a 5k. I’ve told myself to do one forever, but I haven’t yet because I hate to run. But, since we’re trying to live a healthier lifestyle, this is the year that I need to make that goal a reality.

What are you looking forward to most during the next year?
Finishing a home project on Miss in the Midwest’s timeline. Ha! All kidding aside, I’m looking forward to spending our second wedding anniversary in a tropical location that’s reminiscent of our honeymoon.

Be sure to wish my hubby a happy birthday in the comments – he’ll be sure to read them all!

  16. Happy birthday! That question about reflecting back and his answers were the dog, the house and manager… i sort of chuckled, thinking dang, he didn't even mention you!! And then I went back and re-read the question and had phrased it to reflect his 25th year. Maybe that's why! 😉

@Disneyland is full of hidden scenes and little details. This area in particular, right around the corner from Fantasyland, was my favorite of them all! Maybe because we were there early before the crowds came pouring in, or maybe I was taking a moment to be nostalgic ... either way this was the first time in a few months that I felt happy and 100% myself. Perhaps that’s the magic of Disney that Walt always talked about. #adultsatdisney #disneyland
