Will You Be My Valentine? {The Shopping Bag Giveaway}

Ever since rompers came onto the scene a few years ago, I have loved the way that they look on everybody else but never on me. I’ve never been successful in finding one that fits me properly, not to mention I can’t get past the fact that I feel like I’m wearing an adult onesie. Lucky for me, this little number from The Shopping Bag turned all that around.

The love that I have for this romper is real; it has cast aside all my previous opinions and notions on rompers. From the thick, high-quality material to the long sleeves to the subtle sexiness of the plunging V-neck, this outfit is a far cry from the child-like rompers that I’ve refused to wear outside the dressing room.

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I wanted to change up my hair and makeup from my typical daily look, so I opted for loose wavy curls and a subtle smokey eye with bronze and plum tones. I also enjoyed layering a delicate, classic rhinestone lariate necklace with a longer tassel necklace to keep the overall outfit girly but with just a subtle hint of edge. Plus, what romantic holiday wouldn’t be complete without my all-time favorite novel in clutch form? I live and die for that purse.

Lucky for all of you, The Shopping Bag is hosting a Valentine’s Day giveaway for all my sweet readers! Don’t miss out on your chance to win a $25 gift card, the Don’t Forget Knot Ring (pictured as a midi-ring in my photos above!), and a Box of Chocolate Lip Glosses Set.

The giveaway runs through this Friday, Feb. 13. Good luck!

  1. Thanks, girl! In the frigid Midwest temps, I had no choice but to pair this with tights. πŸ™‚ However, I am looking forward to wearing it with some strappy sandals come summer for a night out.

  34. I'm so glad! You definitely should check this one out – it fits like a dream! I have a size Medium for reference, but I probably could've gotten away with a small. The v-neck was a bit big for me, so I actually had to safety pin it shut to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions during these photos. πŸ™‚ Thanks for stopping by!

  35. Thank you, Claire! It only seemed natural to me to pair it with tights, but I guess my inexperience with rompers shows since you and a few others commented that tights typically aren't the norm with them, even in the winter!

  40. I guess I thought it only would be natural to pair this romper with tights since it's cold out and to make it a bit dressier, but I suppose that definitely is not the norm based on some comments I'm getting! Goes to show my inexperience in the ways of styling a romper. πŸ™‚
