Although I didn’t do an abundance of shopping while we were in Las Vegas, I was able to indulge in a beauty product that I never thought I’d have the opportunity to!
After hearing so much about Inglot cosmetics from YouTube beauty vloggers and most recently from Nadia on her blog, I have been itching to get my hands on some products, especially the Freedom System Palette. The only trouble is that Inglot has very few stores and of course, none within a close radius to home.
Well, much to my surprise, while we were walking around Caesar’s Palace in Vegas, an Inglot store came into view! It took all personal restraint to keep from doing a little happy dance in the middle of the mall. So into the store we went, and while Ryan (quickly) grabbed a seat on one of the couches, I went off into makeup la-la-land.
I was happy that the store wasn’t very big because I already was overwhelmed by the amount of products and color choices that were available. The sales girl gave me a quick rundown on how the Freedom System Palettes worked, and then she let me play around with everything in peace. Since I couldn’t really justify purchasing another eye shadow palette, I decided to focus on the blushes.
Given that I gravitate toward blushes that are either neutral, pink or mauve, it makes sense that I would want to build a palette around those same colors. These shades range from light to dark, and I only chose one with a slight shimmer; however, when swatched on my hand, it doesn’t come off glittery, and it instead provides more of a healthy sheen to my skin.
A little bit of these blushes definitely go a long way; the swatches above were created from one minor swipe of my finger in the blush and onto my hand. I’ve found that only a dab or two of my blush brush in the product is plenty to blend into my cheeks for a good amount of color.
Also, I have to mention the overall design of these palettes. The palettes are sleek, chic and extremely sturdy. Since I plan to have this palette with me on all my trips from here on out, I’m glad I don’t have to worry about the palette or products inside shattering in case it falls or gets bumped around. The palette itself also is surprisingly not very heavy and slim, so it doesn’t take up much space in my makeup bag or vanity drawer.
Overall, I am impressed with this product and how the whole system works. I’m looking forward to bringing this palette with me on trips because it has all the colors I possibly could want or need to go with different looks, and it eliminates the desire to pack several individual blushes.
