Mini Sephora Haul

Happy Wednesday, everybody! Are you ready for a mini Sephora haul?

The closest Sephora to me is one that is inside JCPenny. And, hey – I’m not complaining because it’s literally two minutes down the road and saves me 15-20 minutes in the car to get to the mall. However, since it is a much smaller-scale Sephora than what you find at the mall, their brand and product selection is limited. If you are in the same situation, I always recommend searching on Sephora’s website for the product you are wanting to try or buy before you head to the store; you can plug in your zip code, and it will tell you immediately if the product is in stock.

Anyways, I digress. Onto the products I managed to pick up last weekend.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation – You guys, I cannot even begin to explain the love affair that I’m having with this foundation. I have been a liquid foundation gal my entire life, so I was pretty skeptical about a powder foundation. After reading several rave reviews and watching many YouTube beauty gurus talk about it, I decided to give it a try. I don’t think I agree with the claim that this powder is full coverage, but it definitely is a medium, buildable coverage. What I love most about this foundation is that I don’t have to blot AT ALL during the day, seriously! And, it looks just as flawless at the end of the day as it does in the morning when I apply it. I was color-matched to the shade Light Beige, which is described for “light skin with pink undertones.”

bareMinerals Concealer in Summer Bisque – This product in the shade Well-Rested has been a staple in my makeup collection for years. I primarily use it to set my liquid under eye concealer, but I also sometimes buff a little on top of any blemishes that need extra coverage. But, as I am starting to get some sun and color back in my face for the summer, Well Rested was too light for my skin, especially under my eyes (think Casper the Friendly Ghost). I swatched this shade on my hand in the store, and it looked to be a good match. The true test will be when I actually use it on my face.

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Speak Your Mind – Well, I sure can get behind a lipstick that has a name like that! This was a freebie since I purchased the bareMinerals concealer, and so far I am loving this lipstick. It’s a great shade of pink that gives off a beautiful sheen on the lips. It’s also pretty hydrating, which always is a plus in my book. I’m considering trying other lip products from this line.
