Stripes & Leather

When the nicer weather rolled into town earlier last week, I took
advantage of it by breaking out a sundress I have been itching to wear
for sometime now. I love the classic fit and silhouette of the dress,
not to mention the black and white striped pattern, which is one of my
all-time favorites. To toughen it up a bit, I added a faux leather
jacket that I recently added to my collection and a chunky, but still
delicate, gold chain. The red flats added a much-needed pop of color,
and the Coach purse kept the outfit looking classic and girly without
being overly retro.

I also wore this dress for my friend Megan’s bridal shower over the weekend, but I swapped out the faux leather jacket for a jean jacket and the red flats for black flats to keep it appropriate for an afternoon gathering. I enjoy how versatile this dress is, and I can’t wait to see what other combinations I can come up with throughout the spring and summer!

  1. Love the leather jacket with this dress! The pop of coral in your shoes is really fun. 🙂

Love the leather jacket – I've yet to find one that sort of fits the bill with everything I'm looking for – including actually covering my lower back!! Great look!
